Linux 也有 3D 桌面了

說的當然不是早就在開發那所謂 3D 的 virtual desktop 啦，而是像 Mac OS X 和下一代 Windows “Longhorn” 一樣，是以 GPU 加速的桌面效果！不知道我說甚麼？看看這連結裡的 video 吧：

那些 Gnome 裡面的窗到會立體地像旗幟般飄動呢！非常有趣！但只是 eye candy，實用性一般…不過嘛，這 video 也只是示範著技術上的可能性，其後以這 engine 會開發出怎樣的桌面環境，要怎樣優化 user experience，那得靠廣大的 community developer 了！個人覺得這遠比太陽那 3D 的 Java Desktop 要好！不過話分兩頭，坊間開發出來的軟件多般都是參考商業軟件的 innovation 呢，那也沒所謂，能集百家之大成就最好，受益的都是 freeware 的用家們！ :lol:

    暫時o黎講真係正如怪人哥話齋真係純粹 eye candy，完全未見到實在性何在，不過總算係一個好開始．

    題外話，根據 AppleInsider 講 Mac OS X “Tiger” build 8A428 declared Gold Master 喇，咁好快你就可以帶 Mac Mini 返屋企喇． emoticon
